On a beautiful day, St Peter’s batted first. Ashwin was skipper for the day. Adwik and Adam set the tone with some excellent hitting. George and Maxime kept the momentum with some energetic running between the wickets. Marley and Ruwi have enormous potential and their batting is growing with each match. Joe ran well and Javier struck a beautiful boundary with an offside forcing shot. Albert and Ashwin landed some fine blows at the end to get us up to a score of 250.

Once again our bowling was outstanding. Marley set the tone with some fine bowling. Maxime took two wickets in two balls, including a fine catch by Javier, and was a whisker away from a hat trick. George bamboozled the batting with some fine spin bowling and got the wicket he deserved with a faster delivery. Joe relaxed into his spell and finished with some excellent bowling that deserved a wicket. Javier is a natural bowler and had a fine contest with their strongest batter. Adwik bowled some fine balls. Albert bowled excellently against batsmen who were well set and can hold his head high. Ashwin grew in confidence and showed great progress in just two overs of bowling. Adam carried on his impressive start to the season with some penetrating bowling. Last, but certainly not least, Ruwi impressed everyone with some fine bowling and a maiden over which deserved more than one wicket.
