This was a very well played game which came down to a few big hits from Preston Nomads' last batting pair and a few too many wickets lost by St Peters. A loss by 22 runs didn’t really do the SPCC team's performance justice, but was almost exactly the difference in wickets between the two teams, Nomads lost 4 wickets, St Peter’s lost 8.

Edgar took the highlight with some tremendous bowling - 2 overs bowled, 0 runs conceded and 2 wickets taken.

Beau and Layth batted beautifully together, even though Beau was given out (a tad harshly!) by our square leg umpire when taking a quick single. Some lovely boundaries from both boys, but more importantly some brilliant calling and running between the wickets.

Oliver demonstrated some great energy in the field and the training drills might be starting to work, with some tighter bowling and backing up in the field. More work required on a Monday afternoon for those that can make it, but good progress.
