St Peter's U16s won the 2026 Festival Bowl final on Sunday in a thrilling game against the age group's league champions and perennial powerhouse Brighton & Hove CC.

This amazing achievement is all the more notable given the very strong U15 contingent within our squad. Some of these players were involved in their fifth consecutive Festival Bowl final and they also added to their own age group, U15, league title in the process to add to the overall junior programme's burgeoning title haul this year.

In a game played on neutral territory at Preston Nomads' ground, SPCC won the toss and batted first, accumulating 217-6 off their 40 overs. BHCC were marginally ahead of the run rate for at 116-3 at the half-way stage, but a stirring fightback eventually reduced our doughty opponents to 148 all out off 30.3 overs and clinched a 69-run victory.

SPCC will now have the honour of hosting the 2027 U16 Festival Bowl final to supoport this fabulous competition.
